Behind the Shot.

Amidst the serene beauty of the Portland Oregon Japanese Garden, I stumbled upon a scene of profound tranquility. A koi fish pond, adorned with vibrant flowers, Japanese stone structures, and lush greenery, created a harmonious blend of nature and culture. In this idyllic setting, I decided to experiment with long shutter speeds, aiming to capture the graceful motion of the koi fish as they navigated the still waters. As the shutter clicked, the elongated trails of the koi fish's movement painted a dynamic energy across the frame, adding a sense of life and motion to the otherwise tranquil tableau. The intentional fusion of traditional Japanese garden elements with the dynamic presence of the koi fish resulted in a captivating visual symphony, an ode to the delicate dance between stillness and movement within the heart of the Portland Japanese Garden.
