San Juan Sunsets

Behind the Shot.

Taken from one of my favorite mountain passes near Ridgway, Colorado. I witnessed a breathtaking fall sunset, a symphony of colors that defined the season. The meadow was adorned with vibrant fall hues, surrounding a winding creek that snaked its way towards a jagged peak in the distant. Sunset clouds painted the sky overhead, their warm tones casting a golden glow. As the sun descended, the fall colors and the hues of the sunset clouds mirrored in the creek, transforming it into a liquid gold masterpiece. The ground was carpeted with the golden remnants of yellow aspen leaves, creating a scene that embodied the essence of a Colorado autumn evening. A captivating display of nature's artistry in full splendor.
